Q: What drew you to work for EIMC?
Jason Brueck: I was drawn to work at EIMC because of the culture and the consistently presented opportunities in EIMC’s day-to-day operations. The chance to meet and work with both existing and new clientele was also appealing. Additionally, the highly competent team members and the ability to grow through EIMC’s support, trust, and encouragement were significant factors. Before my employment, I became aware of EIMC’s Core Values, which include doing what’s best for the client, focusing on solutions, practicing excellence, building trust, and owning your attitude.
Q: What do you enjoy most about your job?
Jason Brueck: What I enjoy most about my job is being involved with project management, and tackling the challenges of marine and cargo surveying on a case-by-case basis. I also appreciate working closely with dedicated and knowledgeable colleagues, while assisting our clients to come to resolutions that meet their needs. Training new team members and working with them closely on a one-on-one basis is very fulfilling. Also, problem-solving has always been rewarding in my position, and I continue to educate myself on changes to or issues associated with industry-related matters.
Q: What is your favorite thing to do outside of work?
Jason Brueck: My favorite thing to do outside of work is spending quality time with family and socializing with friends. I especially enjoy setting aside time to spend with my three children. I also love fishing, golfing, and, of course, my annual trip to Aruba.

Jason Brueck: I am motivated by achieving greatness, learning new things, contributing to a team, and making a difference. I am also driven by coming up with creative ideas to help EIMC grow. In my current position, I’ve been able to take on additional responsibility, and while doing so, learn valuable new skills. It’s been incredibly fulfilling, and I’m constantly growing and evolving in my role, which motivates me every day. The opportunities, the challenges, and the end results will always continue to motivate me.
Q: What advice would you give to someone that is interested in working in the industry?
Jason Brueck: My advice to someone interested in working in the industry is to never be afraid to ask questions and make mistakes, as that is how you learn. Identify a mentor for yourself and never turn down an opportunity to help your colleagues, clients, or other support personnel. Continue to learn and educate yourself while cultivating a persevering attitude. Always take advantage of presented opportunities and set honest and realistic goals. Rely on your strengths and decision-making, and always maintain a positive attitude. Additionally, research and stay up to date on industry-related matters, trends, and news.
